Diana recently joined the team at Loudoun Family Counseling and looks forward to pursuing her LPC under the supervision of Florinda Reid, LPC, RPT-S. After completing her master’s in professional counseling at Liberty University, Diana spent several years working in a variety of settings, including residential, academic, and community-based. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults and has a particular interest in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Diana’s approach is person-centered and collaborative; she provides a nonjudgmental, safe space where clients can grow through exploring their struggles and strengths and discovering new avenues to achieve their goals.
The mother of two small girls, Diana’s personal values are rooted in authenticity, honesty, vulnerability and humor. Born and raised in Maryland, she lived and worked in Wyoming and Colorado for several years before settling down in Virginia. Diana still holds a great love for Wyoming and considers it a home away from home.
Through her personal and professional journey, Diana has developed a philosophy centered around realizing and validating the human need for connection. Her goal as a clinician is to walk with her clients as they fearlessly enter their darkest places knowing that “The dark is not an end, but a door. This is the way that a new beginning comes” (Gayle Boss).
